It’s May 11 and though the counting isn’t over yet, a lot of people may be dismayed or happy at the partial results being shown on TV via GMA and ABS-CBN. Even COMELEC’s partial list of candidates from President to Councillor may shock the masses. However, even I have to concede the fact that I voted, my vote was counted (hopefully) and have to contend with the votes of other Pinoys. To whoever is voted from President, Vice President to local officers, I can support by paying my taxes, but I am watching, from the shadows. LOL

I am very much happy it’s the end of the NOISIEST election ever! Politicians took to the streets with blaring speakers mounted on what ever moving vehicle they could find or hire whoever they could hire to rally to their cause. There was the occasional oldie “Rhinestone Cowboy” but popular songs predominated the campaign jingle such as Wondergirls “Nobody”, BEP “Got a Feeling” and I think Lady Gaga herself would cringe to hear campaign jingles renditions of her songs Poker Face, Just dance, and Telephone.

Intelligence fail! It would seem that Pinoys are still addicted to TRAPOS, possible because pinoys love INSTANT GRATIFICATION. The 100-2000 peso they receive for one day of meals in replacement for 6 years of possible disappointment, disillusionment, and continued graft and corruption. Oh well, as a citizen who voted, my vote was counted, I can only support the next set of government officials.
