What a comeback post and no I wasn’t hacked (and I was never a hired black propagandist). To most of my readers, I’ve been on hiatus for a year or so now because of work schedules. I forgot to update this blogged entirely. But for new readers, the previous posts that you can see so far, will tell you that I was highly anti-Noynoy.
It didn’t seem right to see someone who had the track record he has in Congress and Senate, running for President and winning by the coat tails of his (RIP) father Benigno Aquino and shadow of Former President Corazon Aquino.
Approximately 1 year has passed since he took oath as the 15th president of the Philippines, I’m seeing him in a different light. Don’t get me wrong, the apology isn’t because I was wrong. But more likely I pity him in a kind way. I see someone who I think never really did anything wrong as he never did anything much right. I see someone who never really cared for his lineage as much as never did care about his image. However, I saw someone with potential.
Here comes the pity part. It’s unfortunate, President Noynoy Aquino is surrounded MOSTLY by animals. Somehow, I see him maneuvering through a jungle full of crocodiles who want his whole arm, monkeys who take up his time and twit birds who do nothing but publicize his shortcomings. So I gained some sort of respect for him, with that kind of political environment in Malacanang Palace, I expected a very short Presidency marred with Coup de Tats (the same with his mother), brown outs and more. I tip my hat to you Mr. President (though you may need a hat soon enough), you’re wading through predatory waters and you aren’t devoured yet.
Still, may I remind you of your promises or your “pact” with the people, approximately 15 million people who voted for you. President Noynoy Aquino scandals aren’t because you are dating a new woman or something. Heck, please tell your PR to abandon sensationalizing your private life. Instead, focus on the legacy you inherited or whatever is left of it anyway.
Remember, I, along with the rest of the Philippines, am watching you.
